SRS XB 10 is the most affordable Bluetooth speaker from Sony. This speaker is available in different colours. When you unbox the XB 10, you will find the user manual, USB charging cable, and XB 10 speaker.
XB 10 is very compact. You can place this speaker whenever you want like a backpack, or you can hang near your cycle handle.
The height of the speaker is 10.9 cm, the diameter is 8.6 cm, and the weight is around 260 gm. Built quality is imposing. The speaker is made up of plastic, but a thin layer of rubber all over the speaker ensures more grip. It also adds more attraction. A strap is there to hang the speaker. Also, it acts as a mini stand when you put the speaker horizontally on it.
If we talk about buttons, there are five buttons, i.e., A play/ pause button, add device button, volume down button, volume up button, and the last one is switched on/off button.
You can receive the calls with excellent noise cancellation. You can hear a clear voice without any interruption.
Sony claims the 16 hours of battery backup, which is something unbelievable. Trust me; if you put the volume around 50%, You will get 16 hours of power backup. XB30 is another Bluetooth speaker from the Extra bass series having a unique design. This speaker looks like a typical stereo music system.
This speaker is a little bit heavy as compared to the previous model of this series like XB 21. It weighs almost 1.3 Kg which is more, but if you consider its size, there is no problem with the weight.
If you look at the speaker from the front, you will find a wire grille. Under this wire grille, two LEDs are placed at the left and the right side of the front side.
At the top, there are a total of seven buttons. Call, play/pause, volume up, volume down and add device button. Despite these buttons, there are two large buttons; one is an Extra bass button, and another is of a switch on/off.
By pressing the extra bass button, you can turn on/off lights. With the help of the call button, you can also activate google or Siri.

XB 21 is Bluetooth speakers specially made for electronic dance music (EDM) along with single coloured LED.
Other models of Sony like XB 10, 12 are minimal while XB 30,42 are vast, but this one is medium, not too big and not too small. You can carry it everywhere in your backpack.
The build quality is awe-inspiring; you can feel the premier class of sony. Single-coloured LEDs are present all over the front edge of the speaker, which look classy. There is the small problem that I am facing during my use of tiny rubber stands present below the speaker.
The stand or feet on which the speaker rests are not sufficient to hold the speaker stable. In fact, it looks useless. Even at medium volume, the speaker starts to move here and there.
Coming to the sound quality, it’s balanced. As XB is an Extra Bass series, Sony never disappoints you in terms of bass. This mode provides heavy bass and punchy sound. When you enable extra bass setting by using the Sony Music Centre app, you get impressive bass. But at the maximum sound, you can not hear the lyrics properly. Overall bass is very good at low and mid-level.
IPX7 rating is there to save your speaker from water. Also, you don’t have to worry about dust too.
A surprising feature of this speaker is the music chain. It means you can combine up to 100 speakers at the moment, which is going to hit your party.. I have tried up to 5 speakers in my bedroom and hall which sound more than enough. You feel like you have a home theatre in your room.
The battery backup is decent. Don’t expect more from this speaker. Sony mentioned the battery life was about 12 hours, but personally, I didn’t get 12 hours of battery back even at 50% volume. An average user lasts upto 8 hours. It took about 4 hours to get fully charged from zero to hundred. I recommend you try not to turn on the LED that consumes a lot of power.

Well, Xb32 is the most eligible Bluetooth speaker at ten thousand, having almost all features of an ideal speaker.
I am starting with the build quality, it’s just amazing. The design is pretty cool and that multi-coloured flashing lights, flashing strobe adds more temptation.
As Xb32 is IP67 rated, there is no need to worry about water, dust, rust, even shock also. This is the only speaker with all this protection.
Incoming and outgoing Voice quality is imposing. You can hear crystal clear and HD quality voice. You can also use Google and Siri by pressing the call button.
At the backside of the speaker, you get a USB output to charge another device or smartphone. Also, there are 3.5 mm jack to listen to the songs, charging port, reset button etc.
At the top, there are necessary buttons to volume up/down, to receive calls, to pair devices and to play/pause the music etc.
Sound effects are another great feature of this speaker. When you activate this feature, you can create some beast by tapping on the different sides of the speaker. Each side gives you different sounds. You can control the volume of these beats. Your taping force gives dramatic effects. When you use it, this is going to amaze you.
There are two options to connect the speaker with your mobile. One is NFC and Other is Bluetooth.
The battery backup is another plus point for this speaker. With the volume of 60%, it stands up to 13 hours with lights off condition. Four hours are enough to charge this speaker fully.

These are medium budget speakers. But if you are adventurous and frequently go trekking, or you love parties, you can prefer party specialist speakers like XB 31, XB 32 or XB 30, etc.
