Coming with a brand-new look, unique features and exceptional sound quality, Bose SoundLink Mini 2 is going to blow your mind. You can get everything you need in this speaker.

Deep bass, voice prompts, charging cradle, excellent battery backup, etc. are few prominent features of the speaker.

Inside the Box

It comes with premium packaging that consists of several items. Inside the box, you will get a Bluetooth speaker, a power adapter, charging cable, few documentations, and the most unique item-cradle. All kinds of stuff placed so neatly that you will love to unbox it.

Design and Build Quality

Bose SoundLink Mini 2 appears very attractive as it has some unique shape. When you pick up the speaker, you will feel like a break. It has a single piece of the aluminium casing which looks durable.

At the top of the speaker, you will get all the control buttons. There are five buttons present on the top. The button consists of a power button, volume up, volume down, multifunction button, and last, is Bluetooth pairing button. All buttons are visible in the dark as they illuminate.

Also, there is a separate LED indicator for the battery. All buttons are clicky and operate very well. At the right side of the speaker, you will notice two ports: one is an audio jack, and another is a micro USB charging port.

Speaker has two passive radiators and a high-efficiency transducer. At the base of the speaker, there is a rubber pad that gives stability to the speaker when you put it on the table.

Also, there is a small connection at the corner of the base for the cradle charging option.

Battery Life

Bose has claimed the 10 hours of battery back. If you keep the volume of around 50-60%, you will get 10-12 hours of battery back. At 100% volume, the speaker lasts up to 6 hours.

It gets 4 hours to charge this device.

There are two ways to charge the battery. One is a conventional micro USB connection, and another unique option is the cradle. In case if you don’t know the cradle, the cradle is a device, or you can say base having a connection to charge the Bluetooth speaker.

This is a wireless option to charge the speaker. Plug the cradle and put your Bluetooth device on that cradle. You will notice the speaker is getting charged.

Sound Quality

As the speaker has two passive radiators and a high-efficiency transducer, Bose has done it again. The transducer is custom made for the speaker in moves twice air compared to a typical transducer. More air movements mean a more powerful sound.

So if we talk about sound, it is exceptional. I am actually impressed by how loud it gets. You will get rich bass and balanced sound. Vocals and instrumentals are excellent.

Mid-range also kind enough to hear the notes. Please note that, even at high volume, the speaker does not get distort. Overall, the speaker has outstanding sound quality.

Other Features

Voice prompt feature allows you to hear the battery percentage, pairing status, even number of the caller, etc.

The only disappointment with the speaker is you can use it only at home. I mean it’s not a waterproof or water resistance speaker

Final Words

So, the speaker is ideal for home entertainment. You can enjoy the music or watch the movies. If the sound quality is your priority and you are ready to compromise the other features like water resistance, then this could be the best choice. And trust me, you will not feel regret.

With the 360 degrees sound and a 30-foot wireless range, the Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus demands to be at the center of attention. Quite literally boasting a deep, jaw-dropping sound no matter where you’re standing in the room, the Revolve Plus has a promised uniform sound coverage without a single dead zone.

So, is it worth it, or should you stick with the Bose Revolve?

Let’s see.

Design and Build Quality

It comes in triple black and luxe gray color. Both of which suit the minimalistic design of the Revolve Plus. The Revolve Plus is unique and modern, but we should expect no less from Bose. Its seamless aluminum body is sleek and smooth around all 360 degrees, which only adds to its visual appeal.

With the unique lantern shape, that’s instantly pleasing on the eye. You’d immediately recognize it from a distance as a Revolve speaker combining this shape with the flexible fabric handle, and you’ve got probably the most easily portable Bluetooth speaker for its size.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve Plus can easily be mounted to any standard tripod through its Universal threaded mount. Also, using the input button, you can cycle between auxiliary input and a micro USB port input, which also charges the speaker simultaneously.

But of course, portability comes with its hazards. Luckily for us, there Revolve Plus IPx4 certified water-resistant and can take a drop from a considerable height. Keep in mind that it’s not entirely waterproof. So you may wish to weigh up your options if that’s something important to your purchase decision.

Battery Performance

The Bose SoundLink Revolve Plus boasts up to 16 hours of battery life. However, I managed around 10 hours with just under a four-hour recharge time back to 100%. Both save themselves while other speakers may last longer; you won’t find bass as deep or as powerful anywhere else.

Sound Quality

I’m sure what you all want to know is how sound quality is. Well, the bass is punchy and plentiful though maybe not quite as intense as Bose Soundlink 3. The mid-range is crisp and well balanced, with the bass and high frequencies presenting a nicely balanced sound palate.

Overall, in short, it’s a brilliant sound with minimal compromise considering its unique design and a 360 degree sound delivery.

The speaker more than feels your average-sized room without too much disturbance to sound balanced at higher volumes. Honestly, walking around a room and experiencing the same delivery of sound is something you have to experience yourself to appreciate.

Others

The Bose SoundLink Revolve Plus has NFC functionality allowing NFC enabled phones to Bluetooth pair just by merely touching your device onto the Bose logo. It works seamlessly with Siri and Google Now voice commands, allowing you to control your phone as long as you’re next to your speaker.

The speaker can also act as a 360-degree speakerphone at a considerable distance without compromising unexpected sound clarity.

I’d say Bose did a pretty damn good job in every other aspect. The Revolve Plus is obviously so much more versatile than say the SoundLink Revolve, and it has a bunch of new features.

The whole experience of portability is so much better just because of its sleek design and the handle. I did find myself taking it around from room to room much more than I did it with the Sound Link Revolve.

An essential factor for me is voice command options. It just adds another dimension of versatility to this Bluetooth speaker as well. The 360-degree sound is worth the extra cash over the SoundLink Revolve as long as you can live with the slight very minor compromise on the overall depth of sound

Conclusion

In short, if your Bluetooth speaker is going to be static more often than not, it’s just going to be in one place. Also, it’s not practical to have it in the center of the room. Most of the time, I personally stick with the punchy bass and save the extra cash.

However, If you’re going to be taking this speaker with you around the house or out of the house, then the Revolve Plus was made for you.

Everyone knows Bose is a well-reputed brand and their products are also costly. Bose SoundLink Revolve is another popular model that consists of deep, immersive & 360 degrees sound, durable, seamless aluminium body, water-resistant design (IPX4), NFC pairing for easy connectivity to your NFC-enabled devices. Is it worth buying? Let’s decide.

Inside the Box

Bose SoundLink Revolve comes with premium packaging. In the box, you will get a well packed Bluetooth speaker. Then you get some documentation, an adapter, and a micro-USB charging cable. All kinds of stuff are placed neatly.

Build Quality

When it comes to building quality and physical appearance, you will fall in love with exceptional design. The speaker has some weight which adds some premium feel. The body is mainly made up of seamless aluminium that ensures its longer life span.

Because of the Aluminium body, the speaker can bear some amount of shocks when it falls on the ground. The shape of the speaker is also freakish and attracts people.

The speaker is cylindrical in shape (diameter gets decreased from bottom to top). Half portion of the speaker has a grail that delivers 360 degrees sound. On top of the speaker, you get typical control buttons—the power on/off button, Bluetooth pairing, volume up, volume down, a multifunction button, etc.

The unique feature of the speaker is it prompts the voice to hear the battery percentage and other instructions and warnings. You can enable it by pressing volume up and down buttons simultaneously. A microphone is also present on the top.

On the side of the speaker, you get two ports, i.e. micro USB port and 3.5mm aux port. Aux port is another connectivity option that can be used when there is no Bluetooth option on your device.

The most surprising feature about the speaker is it can be charged without wire. But, you need to buy another accessory – the Charging Cradel, which looks like a disc. The bottom of the speaker has some connections, and by using this connection, you can put it on that disc and charge your Bluetooth speaker without connecting a micro USB cable.

Cool. Isn’t it?

Sound Quality

Bose charges massive money for their products as they are spending a lot on their sound quality.

Can we expect the high-quality sound here?

Absolutely yes. Bose SoundLink Revolve does an excellent job in the sound section. The sound coming from the speaker is very turbulent as its size. The speaker is sufficient to fill a medium as well as a large quantity of a room with its outstanding sound quality. When you walk around more than 10 feet, the volume starts to distort, but it’s not that much. Vocals are perfect for non-base tracks. Mid-range is also prominent. If you play a bass-riched track, you will get a definitely deep and punchy sound with a notable distortion. Overall, I am very impressed by the sound that delivers such a small speaker.

Battery Backup

Coming to the battery back up, it’s enough for such a high-quality sound speaker. Bose claims here 12 hours of battery backup. When you put the volume at the level of 50, you will get almost 10 hours of battery back up. Increasing the volume of the speaker can directly impact on battery backup. The battery takes up to 4 hours to get charged fully.

The call quality of the speaker is something very recognizable. When you speak on the call, the voice quality you get is very clear for both ends.

NFC also works very well, and the speaker can be paired to get the stereo effect.

Final Words

So, this is my thoughts about the Bose SoundLink Revolve. If you are someone who is not compromising the sound quality, no matter what it costs, then this could be a great choice. The speaker is worth around twenty thousand rupees as it’s a premium branded speaker.

The new Bose Soundlink color 2 Bluetooth speakers are coming with the coral red color, aquatic blue, polar white, and soft black that look so attractive. This is the premium quality speaker with an excellent quality sound.

Inside The Box

Inside of the box, you will get the Bose Soundlink color 2 Bluetooth speaker; then, you will get some literature, safety instructions, some support pamphlet, a micro USB cable, which is micro USB to USB 2.0 for charging. Keep in mind that no wall adapter comes with this. You get the micro USB cable, so to charge this thing, you’re going to have to either connect it to your computer or if you have your USB wall adapter.

Build Quality And Physical Appearance

The speaker looks very rugged as it is covered with soft touch silicon. At the front side of the speaker, you will get the Bose logo. The top on the front, we have a perforated speaker grille. At the back, we have another speaker grille.

At the side, we have the micro USB port and the 3.5-millimeter aux port. So, if your device does not have a Bluetooth chip in it, you don’t have to worry. You can plug in through your AUX port right there directly into the speaker.

On the top side, we have a variety of different buttons. Starting on the left side, we have the power button, a Bluetooth pairing button, an input selection button you tell the device whether you want to connect with Bluetooth, or use that aux port that was showing you.

On the side, we have a volume down, volume up. A multi-function button that allows you to do a variety of things, including hitting play/pause, skip tracks, answer your phone calls. When you’re paired with your phone, and then you can even tap it for Siri or Google.

Sound Quality

I am really impressed with the audio quality from this speaker, and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all, especially considering its size, which is pretty small. So mostly you’re going to get the right amount of bass out of this speaker. You’re going to get excellent crisp music. You know it’s not crispy in the sense that it sounds terrible or too overly sharp, but it just has a unique dynamic sound.

The base is so natural. Vocals and instrumental can be adequately heard without any distortion. So definitely no way that you’d be disappointed with this speaker.

Call quality is also useful as people from both sides listen clearly.

Battery Performance

Another thing to keep in mind is that you’ll get eight hours of battery life out of the speaker that’s what Bose advertises. But you will not get that much battery backup as this depends on the amount of volume and the content you are listening to. On the full charge, you will get 6 hours at the volume level 60-70%, which is not appreciated. When it is dead, you can charge it fully within 3 hours.

Conclusion

Overall the speaker is good, but I am very disappointed with its water resistance feature. You are going to spend around ten thousand rupees for this speaker, so we deserve a waterproof speaker. So, Bose speakers are generally high priced, and this is one of them. Of course, not everyone thinks that it’s an overpriced speaker, but at this spend, you will get better options from other brands like Sony SRS XB 32, JBL Charge 3, etc. These speakers have much better features that Colour 2.

If you are looking for a branded speaker with excellent sound quality and portability, then Bose Soundlink Micro could be an excellent option for you. Let’s dive into the review.

Inside The Box

Just like typical packaging, Soundlink Micro comes with an attractive box consisting of the speaker itself, some documents, and charging cable.

Build Quality

Bose has done an exceptionally great job in designing this little guy. The speaker is highly portable as it weighs only 29o Grams, which is not that much as compared to other Bluetooth speakers. This speaker can fit in your palm easily as it measures 3.6 x 9.9 x 9.9 cm.

The speaker is very rugged. The whole speaker is covered with high-quality silicon. Including the front area through which sound comes out. At the backside of the speaker, there is a strap. The best part of this strap is, it can release from one end. That means you can attach it wherever you want. The strap is very flexible and wears & tear-resistant.

At the top of the speaker, you will find a Bluetooth pairing button, power on/off button, LED indicators, and open charging port. Open means there is now any cover present to hide the charging port.

Half of the front side has mesh, and another half portion has few buttons. Volume up, volume down button, a multifunctional button, and a high-quality mic is present at the front side. By using the multifunction button, you can activate Google or Siri depending on the device you connect. Overall the speaker looks very compact and attractive.

Sound Quality

It doesn’t matter at which volume you are listening to the song; Bose SoundLink Micro will give a prominent and punchy sound. The sound that comes out of this Bluetooth speaker is far better than most of the other speakers. You will definitely surprise how something so small and light can deliver such a deep, crisp, and room-filling sound.

Lows and mids are exceptional. It never disappoints you. But the speaker saddens me at high volume. When you increase the amount up to 100%, the speaker starts to distort a little bit, but it’s hardly noticeable. The bass is also definitely prominent and surprisingly pretty influential for this little champ.

Battery Performance

Bose SoundLink Micro got decent battery life. Although it is a small speaker, it manages to survive up to 6 hours during normal usage. Battery backup depends on the volume and sound quality you are playing, so hours can be varied. Also, it takes up to 3 hours to charge from dead to full.

Others

The IPX7 rating certifies the speaker. So you don’t have to worry if you spill at the table or drop the speaker in the pool. If the speaker falls in the water, just take the speaker out and dry it with a cloth. It won’t affect the sound quality or any other performance.

You can take the calls directly from the speaker. The call quality of the speaker is also good for both ends.

By using the Bose Connect app, you can connect two Bose speakers and enjoy the stereo effect.

Final Words

If you are looking for a rugged, waterproof speaker with the best audio quality, a premium build, versatile mounting option, then your search can end here. In my opinion, the speaker seems costly. But if your budget allows you, definitely try this little guy.
