The speaker has a few buttons. You have the multifunction button right there in the front, which is flanked on either side with the volume up and down button.
On the top, you will see the power button and the Bluetooth button. Between the power and the Bluetooth button, there is a series of LEDs that tell you the percentage of battery and whether the Bluetooth is in pairing mode or connected.
I was somewhat surprised by the amount of sound, and the amount of volume that you get from the speaker is really indescribable. It is in comparison to the size of a Google Home Mini, which I also have or an Amazon echo dot. It sounds at least four times better than the echo dot and at least twice as loud as the Google Home Mini
Bose is also claiming a six-hour battery life, and if you are not pumping the music to the full volume, you should get somewhere around that.
If you put the Soundlink Micro on the table, you will get better bass and better sound quality. And if you do keep it in an enclosed space or next to a window, you will definitely get a much louder sound.
Now, this speaker is really loud enough, and I found it really good enough to have a small party in a single large room.
If you are not party animal and need a speaker just for entertainment in the home only, this could be a great choice.
