JBL Flip 3 is a third Bluetooth speaker from the JBL Flip series after Flip Essential and Flip 2. For your kind information, in the earlier models of Flip series, there was no waterproof or water resistance feature. But, Flip 3 is certified by the IPX5 rating, which means it is a splashproof Bluetooth speaker. Let’s see some other upgrades in detail.

Build Quality

The first thing I love about JBL Flip 3 is its design. Durable fabric material and rugged rubber housing make this speaker look premium.

It has a really cool fabric mesh design that covers most of the speakers except for the back portion, which houses a couple of buttons and battery life indicators. An auxiliary port is there; if you do not have Bluetooth on a device and you want to pair, then you can just plug the device directly in with an auxiliary cord.

Also, it has a micro USB port near the auxiliary port. Both ports are covered up by a little flap to help make sure that it retains the splash-proof features that we know and love too.

It also has some cool tactile buttons at the top. The first of which are a Bluetooth button, a minus & plus button for volume control, and the call button to answer and take calls. It has external noise canceling and echo canceling features that work up to mark. There is a little bit of noise on both ends, but it doesn’t matter as this feature is not used frequently.

Battery Performance

The most surprising fact about this speaker is its battery life. JBL states that it has a battery life of up to ten hours, and while I did not test this thing for ten hours straight, I can’t say that. In my personal use pretty much having it running for most of the day while I’m at work, it has never died on me; it didn’t have any battery life issues.

In fact, I barely think I even scraped losing a single or a couple of dots of battery life on this guy. The charge is super quick, so you do not have to worry about it.

The Sound Quality

You can probably find more prominent Bluetooth speakers in the market for cheaper as well, but for everything that you’re getting in this package, you’re not going to be able to compete with the sound at this price point.

JBL Flip 3 is one of the most highly reviewed Amazon products, and it’s for a reason whenever people buy this, they know they can trust they’re going to be getting fantastic sound quality.

It does tend to emphasize the lows a little bit, and I personally enjoy that, so that works well for my tastes. But if you’re looking for a flat reference monitor, this is not it. It does all this without distorting very much, especially at the high volume levels, which is really convenient.

It has a really cool bass exhaust on both top and bottom of the speaker allowing for it to get that deep low. Thanks to its powerful passive radiators that enhance your experience. It is slightly diminished when you use the speaker in the upright mode. Overall when you set it sideways on the side, you’re going to get the excellent full, fabulous, rich sound that you will love.

JBL Connect feature allows you to connect several speakers to boost your party experience.

Final Words

In my opinion, this could be a great choice if your budget is around seven thousand rupees. You will get everything that every ideal speaker needs, especially the JBL signature sound.
