Have you seen a wide range of Marshall Bluetooth speakers?
If yes, then you may be aware of its size. Marshall speakers are generally huge as compared to other Bluetooth speakers. But, if you look at this Marshall Acton 2 model, you will notice that this speaker is the smallest Bluetooth speaker in the whole range of Marshall without compromising sound quality.
This dynamic Bluetooth speaker features dual tweeters and a subwoofer powered by three dedicated class D amplifiers. Lets dive into Marshall Acton 2 review
Design
The speaker comes with the most unique designs like the textured vinyl cover, and the salt, and pepper fret. You will love the weave design on the front of the speaker, where it has that beautiful Marshall logo.
It has this almost timeless design kind of like the Dodge Challenger. The speaker’s neither made out of plastic nor is it made out of metal; it’s actually made out of it has a wooden frame which helps the sound balance and sound natural.
All the main control buttons are located on the top of the speaker. Starting from the left side, you have a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, two LED lights that are going to indicate what mode you’re in either Bluetooth or using the auxiliary port. There are three brass knobs that you can use to control the volume, bass, and treble.
Next to that, you get a pause and play button and then the power switch. Adjusting any of the volume settings using the brass knobs is just so satisfying. These tactile buttons definitely help with this experience being more memorable.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, you have two options connected using Bluetooth 5.0, which is going to give you a solid wireless range of around 30 feet. If that doesn’t work, you can also use it connecting a 3.5-millimeter audio jack. Acton 2 has multi-host functionality, which means you can use two phones. So you got a friend over. He can connect his phone to your speaker, and you can connect your phone, and then you can now switch between the devices that are playing music.
There’s also a Marshall Bluetooth app that you can download on your Android or iOS device to custom tune your own presets or change the presets wirelessly.
Sound Quality
Marshall Acton 2 delivers a well-balanced, natural, and powerful audio experience. The bass is really great, and it’s enough to fill a room.
Whether you put this speaker in a small bedroom or a large hall, it will blow your mind with its exceptional sound quality. Its clarity, crisp beats, and amazing base deliver every song better to hear. Coming to the bass, it’s really amazing. You will get goosebumps at a high-level volume.
Final Words
Marshall Acton 2 sounds pretty good right, but there are definitely some cons to the speaker. First of all this does not have a battery built-in, so you cannot carry it around with you you’re going to have to leave it on a shelf or anywhere around your house.
Well, I think it’s not a problem if you need a speaker just for home entertainment. In fact, Marshall speakers are not only made for high-quality sound but also add an elegant look to your room. Credits go to its iconic design. You can go for it if portability doesn’t matter for you. Trust me, it will not let you down.
