If you are looking for a branded speaker with excellent sound quality and portability, then Bose Soundlink Micro could be an excellent option for you. Let’s dive into the review.

Inside The Box

Just like typical packaging, Soundlink Micro comes with an attractive box consisting of the speaker itself, some documents, and charging cable.

Build Quality

Bose has done an exceptionally great job in designing this little guy. The speaker is highly portable as it weighs only 29o Grams, which is not that much as compared to other Bluetooth speakers. This speaker can fit in your palm easily as it measures 3.6 x 9.9 x 9.9 cm.

The speaker is very rugged. The whole speaker is covered with high-quality silicon. Including the front area through which sound comes out. At the backside of the speaker, there is a strap. The best part of this strap is, it can release from one end. That means you can attach it wherever you want. The strap is very flexible and wears & tear-resistant.

At the top of the speaker, you will find a Bluetooth pairing button, power on/off button, LED indicators, and open charging port. Open means there is now any cover present to hide the charging port.

Half of the front side has mesh, and another half portion has few buttons. Volume up, volume down button, a multi functional button, and a high-quality mic is present at the front side. By using the multi function button, you can activate Google or Siri depending on the device you connect. Overall the speaker looks very compact and attractive.

Sound Quality

It doesn’t matter at which volume you are listening to the song; Bose SoundLink Micro will give a prominent and punchy sound. The sound that comes out of this Bluetooth speaker is far better than most of the other speakers. You will definitely surprise how something so small and light can deliver such a deep, crisp, and room-filling sound.

Lows and mids are exceptional. It never disappoints you. But the speaker saddens me at high volume. When you increase the amount up to 100%, the speaker starts to distort a little bit, but it’s hardly noticeable. The bass is also definitely prominent and surprisingly pretty influential for this little champ.

Battery Performance

Bose SoundLink Micro got decent battery life. Although it is a small speaker, it manages to survive up to 6 hours during normal usage. Battery backup depends on the volume and sound quality you are playing, so hours can be varied. Also, it takes up to 3 hours to charge from dead to full.

Others

The IPX7 rating certifies the speaker. So you don’t have to worry if you spill at the table or drop the speaker in the pool. If the speaker falls in the water, just take the speaker out and dry it with a cloth. It won’t affect the sound quality or any other performance.

You can take the calls directly from the speaker. The call quality of the speaker is also good for both ends.

By using the Bose Connect app, you can connect two Bose speakers and enjoy the stereo effect.

Final Words

If you are looking for a rugged, waterproof speaker with the best audio quality, a premium build, versatile mounting option, then your search can end here. In my opinion, the speaker seems costly. But if your budget allows you, definitely try this little guy.
